Quotes from this Speech.
The Quote, or shall I say Load of Bull is in Blue, and my Comments are in black. Who is this information for anyway, it is in No way True, is it just a speech of fluff so we can feel all warm and fuzzy inside while our County rakes us over Hot Coals.
"Now with all of this big talk of big federal dollars, some may be concerned about government accountability and transparency. Or, as Will Rogers said, “It’s a good thing we don’t get all the government we pay for.”
Well, I’m here to tell you, that we will protect the public’s money. This is Bull, they are not protecting your money in Lincoln County, they are giving it to a governing body that is not prosecuting crimes, is suing widows, allowing to much subdividing, providing no jobs, and putting us into Economic Free Fall, all this and more while they Vote themselves in a Pay Raise.
We will make government more efficient and we have already started. Again Not True, the Governor is not even looking at what is really going on. How can he honestly and with a straight face say that he will make government more effecient, when he has no clue what is really going on at the Budget Tables around the State he is entrusted to. I think this speech is just to impress the new president, and to act like Montana is not part of the problem, no "Earmarks" and "Fat Cats" here.
Montana state employees have agreed that for the next 2 years they will receive no increase in salary. Our state employees have already begun to lead. What is a State Employee, I guess that Excludes Politicians, they Get Raises.
We will assure that all of these dollars will be spent in an accountable and transparent way, and we will assure you that we will oversee our road-builders, our corrections officers, our healthcare workers, our school administrators and teachers, our universities, including the 170 million dollars of research funds with little oversight. Again Not True.
And in return, the public can be assured that we will hold the members of this assembly and myself, to the same high standard of accountability, of transparency, of efficiency, and of effectiveness. This is a Flat Out Lie, there is no transparency of any kind in Montana Government Spending. In Lincoln County you have no idea what Perks your commissioners get or what some folks on the payroll even do. I can't tell you how many emails I get asking what Noel Williams Job and Salary it, Who Knows. The Commissioner get over $80,000 a year to drive you into economic ruin and support a sheriff that has no problem with crime running rampant on his watch. You pay their wages, you keep your nose down and stay out of trouble and now the county your tax dollars built does not even have a decent job for you. There seems to be no public record of "perks". You pay for cars for commissioners, you pay for gas and meals, and trips and this is on top of over $80,000 a year per County Commissioner.
Transparency begins with our own leaders fully disclosing any funds that they receive from any public sources such as: salaries, or grants, consultancy fees, farm payments, grazing subsidies, state and federal leases, research grants, and retirement benefits accrued or received. "
Again Not even Close to Being True. There is No Real Transparency, it is just the latest word from your government for you to buy into.
At this point I really have to Say, What a Crock. The Montana Governor is NOT even looking at Lincoln County, possibly even many other counties. The people are suffering and the County Commissioners Vote themselves a Raise.I have to say from where I sit, Governor Brian Schweitzer and the Powers that be in Montana, all whose wages you pay, they are not doing anything for you in Lincoln County and as you can see from the letters at www.MontanaRecall.com , they are not about to anytime soon. But they will Yap and Yammer in public forums so that who "they answer too" think they are "running a tight ship in Montana" when Really they are Not.
But I have to Say Your Full Of It.
